| dear xanga,
as i sit here, almost a full year since i've last traveled upon your pages, i wonder what happened to you. did everyone grow up and stop blogging? did everyone move on to greener pastures?
i look through my extensive list of subscriptions on this site and i only see two people that are still using xanga to blog. that's a paltry number. that's a number to be ashamed of. what happened to xanga? did xanga die like friendster and myspace? was it simply overrun by the combination of facebook, twitter, and email?
did we as a society stop caring so much about our daily lives that we can't be bothered to share it with everyone online? are we too busy now, or not busy enough?
i wonder if the lack of blogging is an outcome or an indicator of our general increase of apathy.

| bon iver - skinny love {it's been stuck in my head all morning}
Come on skinny love just last the year
Pour a little salt we were never here
My, my, my, my, my, my, my, my
Staring at the sink of blood and crushed veneer
I tell my love to wreck it all
Cut out all the ropes and let me fall
My, my, my, my, my, my, my, my
Right in the moment this order's tall
I told you to be patient
I told you to be fine
I told you to be balanced
I told you to be kind
In the morning I'll be with you
But it will be a different "kind"
I'll be holding all the tickets
And you'll be owning all the fines
Come on skinny love what happened here
Suckle on the hope in lite brassiere
My, my, my, my, my, my, my, my
Sullen load is full; so slow on the split
I told you to be patient
I told you to be fine
I told you to be balanced
I told you to be kind
Now all your love is wasted?
Then who the hell was I?
Now I'm breaking at the britches
And at the end of all your lines
Who will love you?
Who will fight?
Who will fall far behind?

| i understand i never post here anymore. and i understand that you probably never read it anyway.
but to those out there who care. i have a car, a new apartment, and a job in anderson indiana. i'm close to indy and close to muncie. if you want you can call me and maybe we could hang out. it would be just like the good old days.
if you really want you can pray i'll keep my job in this economy. we've already cut back to three day weeks which puts a serious dent in disposable income, but at least it's still a job. and i really enjoy being a starting architect.
see you soon?
